sorry I have not been updating this blog but life at Time to Sow has been a busy with activity. First of all getting ready for the art stamps show at the grandstand the race course Newbury on the 3rd to 4th of July 2010.
Secondly we have been working on a new front page to the web site and step by step video projects to be on line and on YouTube so watch this space.
I was also invited to take part on the stamp addicts retreat weekend and to my surprise I learnt just how much I could do with a distress ink.
We were decorating cloth aprons,Resistance techniques with use of a versa mark, water colouring with a water brush and much more.

here is one of those techniques first the cake yummy,
1)take a nice open stamp design is the butterfly or flower and stamp on to glossy card using versa mark, heat set.
2) using a small piece of cut and dry create a wash over the whole card using the distressed ink i love using the pinks ie tatered rose and Victorian velvet.
3)take the same stamp and ink up using the same colour distressed ink and stamp over your back round to crated layers of colour and shades.
4)take smaller stamps to fill in gaps.
as you can see it easy and fun at the same time all the staff at the time to sow office loves this technique so tonight we are decorating some big shopper bag and to honest Icant wait. The results will on here shortly.
