Step 1. chose one of the large crosses from the collection on the peel off sheet and place on the inside of the card stock so it is visable though the appatuer window.

Step 2. build up the decopage elements and place on the front of the card I placed my to the bottom left so it over laps the aperture.

Set 3.Run double sized tape on the inside of the card place acetate sheet over the aperture.

Step 4 post it.

Hello how are you today?

Spring must be in the air, my bulbs are starting to push up though the earth and do I know what they are? No!

I completely forgot what I have planted and where so I can not wait to see what comes up.

Ideal as that perfect finishing touch when card making.

Step 1. Take your sheet of die-cut and using your large form dots to build up the different decoupage image elements once competed put to one side.

Step 2. Chose 2 tones of the coloured card, take the darker of the two and use a cutting system to cut out a decorative frame I chose this lovely decorative square frame from spellbinders.My lighter card stock Ive trimmed to use it as my card stock base.

Step 3. I took my double sided tape and ran round the edge of my decorative frame and stuck this on to my light colour card stock .Then I place my finished decoupage daffodils to the left of my card over lapping the frames edge. To the bottom right of the flowers and frame I placed one of the smaller decorative crosses.

Step 4.Under the frame I took one of our gold Easter blessings peel offs just to finish it off.

Step 5. Post it.

Step 1. I took 2 6x6 cards .The first card I scored on one half to create 2 fold lines see photo below

and the second one I ve cut in half down the score line.

Step 2.Take the single 6x6 panel from the second card you cut. This will become your card stock base. Trim your backing papers to size. Once again I ve had used the 2 sided pattered paper but this time I chose to use a fawn colour to complement the design of the decoupaged and used my double sided tape to layer on the papers.

Step 3. I pushed out the 4 elements of my chosen decoupage design and I used the foam dots in between to give the 3-D effect. Then I added on the finished decoupage element using more of the form dots.

Step 4 .Now assemble

Step 5. I trimmed and cut some more of my backing paper and placed this on the base of the easel card and to finish I added a row of the small happy birthday peel offs in sliver.

Step 6. post it.

Hello and welcome.

I wanted to share with you one of our new decoupages from crafts uk. I must say this has to be a new favourite of mine you have 3 very different designs on the sheet but each on has a nice vintage country look about it.

I have made these into birthday cards but I think this sheet could also be used for mothers day or a simple thinking of you card.

Step 1.I push out the 4 different layers of decoupage and using the from dots to layer then up.

step 2. Then taking the double sided tape I ran it round the in side of the card and stuck the backing paper on so the polka dot shows though the aperture.

step 3. I placed the finished decoupaged teapot on to the card.

step 4. Taking the sliver happy birthday peeloffs I ran then round the edge of the aperture to create a second frame.

Love: spring wedding

Hello again,
Today card was an idea I thought of for wedding stationary. I have chosen a range of soft pastel colours perfect for spring wedding.
materials use in today's card where:

first I stamped up the window image twice using the memento black in pad ( the only ink pad that can be used with pro markers) the first I coloured the glass sections using the pro makers leaving the rest of the image uncoloured.

Next I took the second image and just coloured the out frame in a stone Gray colour.Once coloured used a shape craft knife and cut out the centre area of the image.Cutting the 3-D squares to the size and shape of the window frame I layered the frame on the top of my first image to give the 3d effect.

Cutting out the image I layered it careful to one side to match the paper I be using on my base card and started to work on my base card stock.

I cut my 3 coloured sheets to the lenght of the base card 5x5 and then trimmed the papers to different withs and finish of with a length of white to finish and tie all the card together.

Then using the form squares I added finish 3-D window and left space to the right of my wording.

This months blog Theme is Love. Now the ible very clearly tells us what love is in 1 Corinthians 13

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

I am sure many of you know this verse well if not in full then in part.I personal love this verse it has taught me some hard lessons in my life but also given me some great comfort.
Today I used the most famous symbol of Love, a simple heart.

I created this heart by drawing round a heart template on to black and frosted strink plastic,then taking my black heart I used a white gel pen and ran a stitched design round the edge of the heart then placed a hole at the top for my finding's.

taking the heart gun I applied heat to the plastic and strink the hearts to there smaller size. Now I add the findings to complete my set.

For a nice alternative I took one of our in house words like honey clear stamps and stamped it up using black memento ink on the ruff side of the plastic. Once again I took a hole punch and place in two holes to take the finding's required to finish my second set of earring's.

I found it in my craft paper stash. I personal love using this triple aperture card as it a fab way of using all your off cuts and small embellishments.

Well its here again the first of December! and we are moving in to day 2 of our 12 days of Christmas sale.

I embossed my card with the dream Weaver template and light box, once the image was embossed I flip over the card and relined the template with the raised image .I used a dream weaver brush and applied the sage colour ink using the stencil as a mask.

Once the image is coloured crisply I moved on to the back card stock and soften the white with a soft colour wash round the edges.Then taken a lager back round patterned stamp in inked it up in the same colour distress ink and stamped in on to opposite corners

I cut and mounted the embossed image on to gold mirror card stock and then added this to my stamp card stock.

Now on there own these stamps are beautiful but here some ideas of how to use them.With all three of theses I firstly heat embossed them using:
Black Glint Glitter Embossing Powder Code: PAWS28R

This is the regular crafts powder. It can be used on most stamps and will give good detail across the board

these powders are smooth flowing and very glossy. The Super fine grade is most suitable for using on designs that are fine.Price: £2.25

Then I water coloured the images using a number of distress inks and a paint brush colours include:

Aged Mahogany-Autumn red
Forest moss-rich dark green
Barn Boor-bright red
Busty Concord-rich purple
Bundled Sage-soft green and here are the results I hope you like then as much as we do.

As many of you know we have been away at the nec showing at the ichf hobby craft show.
Did you mange to get there? bit busy was it not? but was it not huge fun I personal came back with lots of goodies and inspiration and today I would like to share some of my inspiration with you.
I created these cards using

a selection of colours in design code: je17750
scotch magic tape.
craft knife
card stock

chose 3 colours of the peel off design and removed the window frames and place these on to the cards.

taking the reaming peel offs with the waste from the frame cut the design in to half.

take the scotch tape and cover the half peels with the tape so the whole design is covered turnover so the design on the peel off is facing downwards and start to removing the whit packing sheet so the waste is tansfered to the sticky side of the scotch tape.

take your tape with the waste peel off on and place it in to the frame that you have perversely placed on to the card stock make sure that it all lines up find working from the middle out works best for this.

take you second colour and repeat the last 2 steps and this should complete the frame.

now you have a the basic understanding of this technique why not have fun playing with the colours. and designs. for this card i used the waste fromthe frame to crate a back round and raised the frame from the card using asatce and form dots

Sensual flock

Yes it's true flock can be sensual!! and i can prove it!

step1: Take a sticky shape double sided peel off in a damask rose design. Cut out your chosen element myself I chose the large rose shape.Take off the protective film cover and extra sticky peel off, place element on to your card. I found the design is perfect for the corner of my chosen card stock.

Step2:Discover the SENSUAL FLOCK shake a large amount of the flock on the peel off and slow rub in the glue in a circular motion as you do when appling face cream.......see sensual told use shake off the excess flock if you find any gaps, apply more flock and continue to work it in to the glue.

step3:Take a step back and see what else you need to add to your card to finish it off I've chosen to add a green leaf using the same technique as the rose. Now to find a peel of to finish the card.

Art Nouveau die cut cards

Hello again hope this post finds you well. As most of you know we at Exeter next week and have some scrummy new goods to share with you.

First of all these amazing Art Nouveau die cut cards . They make wonderful keeps sakes and can make any receiver of these cards feel special

First set of the three are these two beautiful lady's covered in ivy .

The second a is a screen made up of four panels and four every different Lady's

The third set of the tree is a second set of four ladys in a oval screen This is a classic 1920's design and my favorite by far. The elegance of the pictures are frame with the sensual curve of the card. Note the third lady surounded by carnations and dark hair I love carnations or "pinks" did you know there one of the oldest english flower?

What a wonderful beautiful start the weekend and not just the weather.
     I thought I would give card making a rest today and move in the kitchen I planned to do some cooking but was not sure what so only over coffee I had my Ipod on when Bob Marley came on with jamming and I thought perfect so I roped in a Friend and we went of strawberry picking.
      There is something so naughty but nice about eating strawberries straight of the plant in the sun I was in heaven granted my friend eat most of the good one but we had plenty of jam making then we discovered the raspberries tents.
     I love them and these ones where so fizzy and ripe so I eatten most of those no idea what to do with the rest.
so my crafting project for next week and making really fun jam labels I hoping to keep them as Christmas's presents but I don't think that they would last that long.

As I am sure your aware our Time to sow directors are doing the Newbury show starting this Saturday so the warehouse has been a buzz of activity of picking orders and packing luckily we have it down to a fine art.

so this afternoon I set my self up at the coffee table catching up on my weekly wallander and time team and set about making up some samples I was only going to do one or two but after seeing the finished product I got the small beauties bug and I think you will too.

I have finish some more page layouts for my scrap book thought you may want to look. these photos are from a garden dinner party i had as one of best friend has left for the states :( and to be honest it was unplanned and last minet but one of the best evening ever we where all curled up blankets glass of wine grouped round the fire pit.a percent summer evening

I fell in love with black and pink colouri did not a sweet girly colour choice so when i found the "street lace" paper stack i had to have it and our new galmor ribbon was the perfect match i use the black sparkely vellvet ribbon and crystal gems to finish it off and i think is matchs my personaly perfecty.

This next lay out was from me going thoughsome of the old family photos. making this layout was fun and very hard at the same time,just seen how i have grown and changed in GOD it has not all ways been easy but GOD was incharge so i knew i was ok, as you can see i ve left some space so i can add more photos to the layout.

good evening blogger hope this finds you well.as Meany of you may know i love scrap booking, this week mum has the bug too.
i have been on anitdepression pills for quite a few years and had finally decided to come off them and face life on my own and not be held back as i come of this pills i started looking back and looking at lifestyle patterns that coursed me to end up this way. as you can guesses its not easy at all to be honest its so painful at times and i found that scrap booking it has helped my thought patterns and understanding. thus i would say scrap booking is not just a nice way to spend a evening but its a grate way of sorting out your head too.

well today i finally cleared out my craft studio and a good job too, i found some amazing stuff and such lush paper.i have been ask by Kay from hougie board to make up so samples for her tv show and i loved every minuet of it. then i got my dreamel 300. i stamped up a mirror and then ecthed over the top .
I have very low days and reminding of my blesses and only i can change this so when i saw this stamp i had to have it them i added the Cherey blossom round the edge and the humming birds and to be honest i love it maybe i went to much but i don't always no when to stop now i just have to find somewhere to put it.

Hope this post finds you all well and you all got a chance to enjoy the sun.

We are very lucky to live in a small English village that hosts a wonderful craft and chat group twice a month and its full of bead workers,card maker,quilters and knitters. The perfect setting for creativity.

I spent the most of the afternoon distressing tags then seeing what other people where doing and came back with a head full of new ideas,ie beaded tassel's

Greetings from Sidholme hotel in Devon we are in the middle of our autumnal craft week with two wonderful hosts Paul and Jeanette Spencer with keeping me will stocked with daily morning and evening devotions and fudge.

This week we have pulled out all the stops doing 16 workshops over the week including perfect pearls,different types of inks, glossy accents, embossing powders, ten second -studio, pro markers,daubers,tapestry stamps, peel offs and Christmas paper crafts. I think that's everything.

As you can See every busy but good fun but that could be i am living on 12 cups of coffee a day full cooked breakfast and 3 course dinners. and of course fudge!

As some will know we have been doing this craft weeks for about 3 year now we much be doing something right as customers from last year have returned they say they love the craft but i am sure its me hee hee. this week has been hot clear blue Sky's so and every chance we have left the hotel and enjoyed walk along the sea front enjoy an ice or like me a hunt in the junk shops.

But today been over cast and cold but i secretly happy as there is a lovely open fire in the lounge and old but wonderful cosy arm chairs so my plan is to make Christmas cards this evening in front of the open log fire.

This has to be one of my favorite places to come as i get a chance to meet and get to know every one, where i can walk along the beach with an ice cream or even a swim oh and craft in surroundings like this but don't take my word for it .

Good evening hope you have had a good week.as you should know we are at sundown Esher launching the new additions to our in house range of words like honey stamps and paper. What follows is a couple of ideas to inspire you with our products hope you enjoy.

Royal Stamp board

The is a set set from the wlh clear collection number wlhc19
first I took a ATC size sampboard and distress the back round use a dream weaver brush code:wwdwbs

I used the broken glass and chipped sapphire distress ink.Nexted i stamped the image and words with staz-on black. Then taking a pointy tool i started scratching away the ink on the kings robes.

Once finished this is how it looked i did it a second time using sandy colours i prefer the blue i must say what do u think?

Beautiful Moment Card
I used this wording on my friends new home card and to honest I love to so much its going on most of my cards it say"live in the moment and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering."

first I went on http://www.quakas.com/ and order my duck pond kit packed full of ribbon paper button card stock and much more thank you nessie xx

I made the base card and layered the papers on top but before sticking on the patterned layer I ran the ribbon each side the stuck it and and stamped on top the new wlh bird cage stamps

I then embellished it using sliver peel offs. the off cuts for paper i used as a stop to keep my card up and added the button for fun .

A Bed of roses.

While out and about in town I discovered 2 plain raw a5 folders true I did not know what to do with them but I had to have them as with most things and as with most this they have lived in my craft studio for weeks with me giving them a second look. After a shopping trip in town I was looking at all those lovely school folders and thought I'll treat myself to one when I remembered the 2 I bought weeks before and with a little help from my crafty companion Hamish my dog we set out to jazz them up !!

1. I took the lighter of the 8x8 rose paper and rang double tape along all sidesand stuck it to the top edge of the folder and smooth down at the bottum of the folder there will be a 2 inch gap. which i used a sheet of the darker white roses and stuck it over the gap.

2.I used sticky copper foil and run it along the join of the two papers to give it a nice finish. Repeat this on the back of the folder aswell. I found that the paper did not cover the whole spin of the folder thus I ran a think statin ribbion along the spin to hid the edges.

3. Add on a emblishment mine is a square of eco board with the paper stuck om using tras-fix but more of that on the next blog to you love this folder as much as I do God bless emma.

As many of you know one of my grate pleasure's is to enjoy a cream tea in an old fashioned English garden. when our in house design team said there where doing to do more papers for the words like honey range i nag and begged for rose paper and my word they dune me proud.

In the 8 x8 rose pack there is 6 papers all double side 2 of each colour, chocolate,rose and white with a ribbon boared sheet and a topper sheet. below are 3 ways of using the papers.

Tag book

Take your sheet of double side paper and fold in half, Open out and fold the over the other half so your paper id divided in to 1/4.
Open out flat, On one side fold in the two corners so form a triangle on one half of the paper.

Fold the paper along the 1/2 way line so the triangle is resting on the open half and the papers making saw the raw edges are tucked away. Using a hole punch pun 2 hold on the top and bottom sheets to thread ribbon though to tie the book shut. Do this for all six papers in the pack play with the light side as the pocket or the dark.

Once all six papers are folded run double sided tape down each side and sick together in to a small stack.

Place in tags of your choice i add eyelets and ribbons as a finishing touch.

A perfect way to keep all your promises god has given you. for to do lists. ejoy the 2 next project will be up later today god bless emma.

twizzle wire bracelet kits

After coming off street pastor duty at 5 am I can never go straight to sleep so I end up looking online to see what new products our suppliers have. So when i came cross these twizzle wire bracelet kits my mind was spinning with ideas . I awoke Wednesday morning to the postman to a huge box full with wire and beads .So armed with a cup of tea and a chocolate orange myself and mum opened the box. After we stopped squabbling over the kits and
amazing colours I set my self to play and here are the results.

Each kit contains

twizzle wire
memory wire
beads

you will also need

wire cutters
round nosed pliers

step 1
make a loop at one end of the memory wire. This will stop the beads falling off the wire.

step 2
cut the twizzle wire to your chosen .IN the Misty Morning blue kit I used 2-3cm lengths,the Scrumptious Sliver kit i used 8cm lenghts.

step 3
Start by threading on a bead on to the memory wire then a piece of twizzle wire and continue alternating the beads and twizzle wire thou the whole lenght of the memory wire.

step 4
once your happy with your design finish of with a bead then using the pliers make a small loop at the end so the beads will not fall of this end either.

and your bracelet is complete.

I have to start by apologising for not blogging for a couple of weeks but we have spent a amazing week away at Detling bible week but that story in it self.
While we were there we ran craft workshops for all ages and ability's. The workshops were on card marking, Maya road boxes, promise books, puppets and much more. Of all of these the most popular one was the free wire workshop, to be honest its my favourite one as well.

These two samples where made during at the workshopWe used 2 thinkiness of wire ,spiral bead winders and beads (that are very light weight and soon availible on our web site) . take a length of wire fold in half to find the cent thread on the beads and start twisting the wire with tools for free hand, i fine the butterflys lend them self so well the the free form desing beacuse you can so easy wrap the wire round the shape of the butterfly. I must admit while looking for materials for the website it was the colours that really got me even on there own they make some stutting neckless.

Words like honey our in house range, are at this moment working on brand new papers and clear stamps including the new 8x8 double sided range to be launched at Detling bible week next week i hope to let you get a first looks in the next couple of days. As well as the 8x8 papers i have designed a brand new range of 12x12 range for the young a heart i cant wait to play with them.

but as you will know words like honey is not just papers but stamps decoupage and more , so also we are adding brand new topper sheets of cats and dogs but not just any dog but westies!!! new decoupage monochrome and colour sheets and last of stamps launching in september.

Talking about stamps, want some ideas on how to use them, keep an eye out in your craft magazine's we been working with the big names to bring you tips and ideas on how to use words like honey for all occasions.

when people say watercolours i think of charming artist in Meadows painting cow and country houses with big wooden frames and big white flapping shirts, but while on the stamp addicts retreat I've discovered water colour paints in tubes! there called niji water colour there are available on site later this week.

I found one of the best inks to use for watercolour to be brilliance, memento or versemark that been heat embossing like in"limited stock blog" see previous post. once the image is stamped up i take small amount of the paints and squeeze them on to built in palette. I then pick the colour up using a water brush pen and paint in the stamp. while at least that how i was taught at school,but as i have discovered you can use than as a acrylic paint surprised i was.
what you need is a mesh heat sheet, a colour duster and paints coordinating colours.

1) squeeze out small amounts of paint on to the heat sheet and pick up the colour using the colour duster.
2) use almost a stenciling technique tap and twist the color on to the card stock. as you can see this makes a for some quite eye catching back rounds to layer or stamp over top .

3)use the Brilliance Graphite Black Code: PERl BIP82 ink pad to ink up your chosen image I like to use Architectural Column Code: SBSG1060 as i think this technique makes for a good manly card.

4) take a white chalk pencil to high light parts of the stamped image.
5) for more depth use and back round stamp IE a text to stamp over the whole design.I find a nice copper or metallic colour ink help with the finishes look.

memory glass and powders

I have spent most of the day sortting out my craft room, in other words discover all my "lost" bits and as always I have bags and bags of card toper and embellishments which I always keep because you never really know when your going to need it IE when that card your making really needs something extra.
I real like using them with the memory glass when used with back round paper you can crate for some real depth and layers images. I have also been trying to discover some family history thus I have been try to use some of the photos for something more personal.
remember you have to use just 2 sheet of glass, the more layers the more depth can be crated in your captured images. once you ready to seal it use the sticky metal tape run round edge so you know how much to cut for each project and peel of the backing 2 cm at a time so that you don't end up in a sticky mess like i do most of the time. once the glass edge's are all cover plus some extra for over lap smooth i like to use a bone folder for this task. now take a step back..... not happy with it.... thankfully for us with a little work we can peel of the tape cleanly. redo, add or take away once happy with it replace the metal edging. now if it needs that extra something you can add alchol inks to the tape. i can assure you once you start you been keeping a eye out for some small detailed images to add to your work. which can be made as card toppers, jewellery and scrapbooks.

The other way of using the memory glass is to put the sheet of glass in to the frame, metal wow embossing powders in a metal pour or like we do use mini foil tins used for take aways. a mix of colours two or more and plan with the colours nature puts the odds colours together when you think of it but it works. Then pour melted embossing powders on the the glass for some real one off creations. with the addition of perfect pearls lightly sprinkle on the glass and in to the mix it creates a shimmer once the light captures it. I find it reminds me of a layer cut gem try and and see for you self.

Oh what a beautiful weekend , just so hot even too hot to craft. as promised here are the photos of our night distressing.

This was crated by stamping the french love letter in the mahogany and the portrait in black soot, with a sliver fabric pen for the outline simple yet very eye catching while out shopping in town had a lot of comments about it.

This atc was dune by first stamping the ink pad on to a heat sheet and spritzing with the ranger water spritzer check our website for details. Then I taken the act to the water ink mix so the colour can be soaked up by the act. I personally love this techniques as no matter how many times you use the same colour you know it will come out different each time.

This atc was crated with cut and dry foam stamp the ink on to the heat sheet again as before but don't mix in water use the cut and dry to drag the colour from the sheet to the atc. This techniques seen to give a much softer look to you work and a much more even coverage.

Hello

sorry I have not been updating this blog but life at Time to Sow has been a busy with activity. First of all getting ready for the art stamps show at the grandstand the race course Newbury on the 3rd to 4th of July 2010.

Secondly we have been working on a new front page to the web site and step by step video projects to be on line and on YouTube so watch this space.

I was also invited to take part on the stamp addicts retreat weekend and to my surprise I learnt just how much I could do with a distress ink.
We were decorating cloth aprons,Resistance techniques with use of a versa mark, water colouring with a water brush and much more.

here is one of those techniques first the cake yummy,

1)take a nice open stamp design is the butterfly or flower and stamp on to glossy card using versa mark, heat set.

2) using a small piece of cut and dry create a wash over the whole card using the distressed ink i love using the pinks ie tatered rose and Victorian velvet.

3)take the same stamp and ink up using the same colour distressed ink and stamp over your back round to crated layers of colour and shades.

4)take smaller stamps to fill in gaps.

as you can see it easy and fun at the same time all the staff at the time to sow office loves this technique so tonight we are decorating some big shopper bag and to honest Icant wait. The results will on here shortly.

on the launch of a range of limited stock stamps, which include stamps from inkadinkado and what a collection!

I have been inspired by this one stamp the most humming bird with flowers code: 97077.
To created this I used a versa mark clear ink pad (Code: VC250) and a clear embossing powder (Code: WWDP020) to create the raised outline. I coloured using interference water colors . As you can see using this technique the faint delicate colour tones are like the faint delicate scent I could imagine coming from these tropical flowers.

using the same stamp with a versa mark clear ink pad (Code: VC250)and detailed gold embossing powder(Code: WWDP102). once again I colored the flowers using the interference watercolor. to highlight the humming bird I used 3 amazing bright and colourful glitter stickles in gold clear and green.

I must say I can't wait for this weekend so I can get my hands on the hot cup Code: BW97220 in the "limited stock" collection. I do reguly have coffee in town with the girls , I have been searching for a nice coffee design this may be the one,it perfect for get well soon, thinking of you and of course church coffee morning so watch this space!!!!!!!!!

Oh what a week I have made the mistake of watching Chelsea flower show I would love to go but there far to many people I don't think I would get a chance to look at the gardens let alone get the bargains on the last day. so have been in my garden with lots of ideas but not a clue how to do it and i have a feeling that mum and dad would go potty if I dug out and made a plunge pool. so when we got our latest delivery of small beauties decoupage the was the second best thing next to going to Chelsea.

I spent most of Thursday afternoon at Create & Craft watching stamp addicts film there new TV show that should be on air Saturday 5Th June at 3pm
I got to sit in the gallery with the Producer and the Director and see how things are on the other side of the camera very glamours .

I finally have a chance to spend most of the weekend with friends who we doing the shows with and may even get a chance to swap act's and craft tips over a glass of pims who knows.

Good morning, we have been asked so many times for a blog so here it is.
Now that the show season has finished this is where the hard work starts of stock taking and seeking out new products and techniques and plan next years show and sadly not much else. but I can not really complain, the launch of own in house range of papers and stamps under the "Words like Honey "name has really taken off , I thought 30 different sets of stamps would be enough! But I was wrong ,so once again I have the pen and paper at hand and my mind completely blank so I am hoping to take some time out too vists some churchs and cathedrals as well as make use of my national trust membership and get some inspiration looking round the property's and of course sampling the cream teas......so watch this space!
